Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to, travel to local program locations, supervision of site staff to assure compliance with all rules, regulations and agency policy and procedures, processing of paperwork and reports, maintaining accurate records, scheduling, and ensuring the safety and well-being of the individuals supported. Upon being hired, all applicants must attend and pass the mandatory training's necessary for this role.
This position requires the qualified applicant have a minimum of one year working with and/or supporting persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities. Demonstrated work experience in a social services environment is preferred. Must be detail oriented with excellent time management skills, and have the ability to meet various deadlines and effectively communicate with staff, community, families and individuals. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, demonstrate problem solving techniques, as well as attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong typing and computer skills are required, including knowledge of and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Therap and other software programs. A college degree in a human services field is also required. Supervisory experience and DSP certification preferred. You must also possess a valid IL driver’s license and reliable transportation.
