FT Bookkeeper, A/P Specialist

Duties: Maintains filing system for all paid invoices and vouchers and other financial documents, and ensures the confidentiality and security of all financial files. Maintains trust fund ledgers of residential consumers whom have Sparc as payee. Prepares invoices for accounts payable on a timely basis and matches invoices with purchase orders, checking for accuracy, researching problems and dealing with vendors. Processes accounts payable checks weekly. Entering vouchers on computer, processing for payment and printing checks. Assists in reconciling accounts payable to general ledger monthly, researching any discrepancies. Assist with monthly billing to all funding sources. Responsible for cash management for the Agency. Reconciles agency bank accounts daily and serves as the primary banking contact. Maintains detailed ledger of all trust account transactions. Processes representative payee reports for SSA for all trust individuals supported. Implement and maintain policies, procedures and conditions which comply with appropriate regulatory agencies. Develop and maintain records. Assists the Director of Finance with annual audit preparation. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: A minimum of one year college level accounting courses or five years of experience with accounting or bookkeeping required. Demonstrated ability in Excel, computerized accounting software packages (Microsoft Dynamics & Solomon preferred), and common office equipment. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to work flexible work schedules, and must attend and satisfactorily complete all training requirements.
