Sparc, or Springfield ARC is a local chapter of the Arc of Illinois. What is the Arc? The Arc is the oldest and largest advocacy organization dealing with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the world.
About the Agency
A 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit founded in 1951, Sparc is a well-regarded fixture in the Springfield community, providing services to several hundred individuals with developmental disabilities. Sparc programs include 24-Hour Residential Support, Developmental Training, Supported Living, Respite, Supported Employment, Family Support and the Epilepsy Resource Center.
Sparc fulfills its mission through programs that are attuned to the unique potential of each individual and are designed to build self confidence and independence.
