About Us

At Sparc we know that relationships give life meaning. The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.

Founded in 1951 by a group of parents of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Sparc is driven today by our Vision and our Values.

Our Vision:

Sparc will become the premier provider of support for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Our Values:

The people Sparc supports come first. Advocating on behalf of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and meeting their needs are Sparc's primary concern. Their growth, health, welfare and safety are foremost in every decision. People are treated with respect and dignity at all times. All supports will be integrated into the community environment for each person to the greatest extent possible.

Employees are essential to our mission. The professional growth, health, welfare, safety and dignity of Sparc employees are second only to Sparc's commitment to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Sparc will employ those who exhibit qualities consistent with Sparc values, provide them with appropriate training and supervision and maintain a productive and respectful working environment.
