| Lesley Cooper, Director of Development & Communications |
Lesley joined the team at Sparc as the Director of Development
and Communications, commonly known as DevCom in
November of 2006. She previously served as the events
coordinator at United Cerebral Palsy Land of Lincoln. Her past
experience includes marketing, public relations, event
coordination, grant writing and advertising layout and design.
As the Director of DevCom Lesley is responsible for securing
financial support from non-government related sources, all
aspects of the agency's public relations, marketing and
fundraising for the agency events including the annual Sugar &
Spice Chilli Dinner, Starry Night and the Mike Ference
Scramble for Sparc Golf Outing. She also creates and maintains
the content on Sparc's website.
Lesley has an Associates of Applied Science degree specializing
in Computer Information Systems and in 2002, she earned her
Bachelor's of Science degree in Journalism at Southern Illinois
University at Carbondale.
Lesley is a member of the Association of Women in
Communications Springfield Chapter and the Young Springfield
Professional Network. She resides in Chatham and enjoys
spending time outside with her two Labrador Retrievers and soy
candle making.
