Sparc welcomes new board member
D. Scott Wiseman is the newest member of Sparc’s Board of Directors.
Wiseman currently serves as Vice President – Regulatory Affairs for Ameren Illinois. He joined the company in January 2010, after holding previous positions of Senior Vice President – State Affairs and Outreach for the American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity, Executive Director of the Illinois Commerce Commission, and Chief of Staff at the Illinois Department of Revenue.
Wiseman credits another Sparc Board Member, Todd Rettig, for coming to Sparc.
“Todd’s family and my family attend the same church and our kids attend the same schools. Each of our families have members who are or have been associated with SPARC,” Wiseman says. “Put another way, our family is keenly aware of the fine work SPARC has done in the past and the unique challenges that face the organization in the future. It’s vital that important strategies be agreed upon to address the challenges that face us. It will be exciting to be part of that important work.
Wiseman is a native of Heyworth, Ill. and currently resides in Chatham with his wife Michelle Gentry-Wiseman, and two daughters, Katie and Meg.
