Sparc invites you to golf in the Mike Ference
Scramble for Sparc. This years golf outing is set
for Friday, June 6 at Piper Glen Golf Course. The
event will start with registration and lunch
beginning at 11 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at
12:30 p.m. After golfing, cocktails, dinner and an
awards ceremony will end the day.
The event will feature a raffle with wonderful prizes
including a foursome at Piper Glen, Ping & Nike
golf equipment, St. Louis Rams tickets and auto
detailing. The outing will also include a live auction
with tickets to Notre Dame & Illini football games,
Cubs & Cardinals baseball tickets, a foursome at
Medinah Country Club and many more exciting
items.

Charity is a gracious act that never goes out of
season. And for those who itemize, Charity can also
lower your taxable income!
Generally, for individuals, contributions to tax-exempt
charitable organizations are limited to 50 percent of the
taxpayer’s adjusted gross income for the tax year. Those
unused items cluttering closet scan be donated to a
qualified charity or nonprofit organization and deducted
as charitable contributions. However, these items must be
in good, used condition or better. Document your
donations by saving receipts, cancelled checks and any
letters or correspondence from the charity.

Sugar & Spice Raises over $6,700
Thank you to everyone who came out and supported
Sparc's Sugar & Spice chili dinner. This year the event
raised over $6,700 for Sparc Travelers, Sparc's Special
Olympic Team. Sparc supports over 200 individuals who
participate in Special Olympics. Funds raised at Sugar &
Spice will provide entry fees, transportation, and the
purchase of new equipment.
